1 mindfulness technique this week
Quiet Your Mind. Easier said than done! There are a number of ways that this can be accomplished. This week we will discuss taking a walk as your vehicle to mental stillness.
On your walk, be fully aware of your surroundings. Feel the cold air, is it damp, dry, sunny? Smell the fresh cut grass, notice the birds in the trees or on the buildings. Listen to the sound of the trees blowing in the wind, the dogs barking or the cars rushing by.
Keep your phone in your pocket. Embrace where you are. Notice how your body feels. Take a deep breath. Exhale any stress, worry or to-do’s for the day. Clear your mind just for a few moments.
Notice how you feel as you return to your regularly scheduled thoughts.
